Job summary

Sokin in New York is seeking a highly motivated Financial Controller to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CPA) and a background in business services, audit, or corporate accounting who wants to contribute to a fast-moving, global business.

You will manage month-end close, prepare financial statements, maintain controls, and ensure compliance across jurisdictions, with emphasis on North and South America.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
• Background in business services, audit, or corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controls.
• Experience with consolidated accounts and management reporting.
• Exposure to NetSuite and US LATAM accounting regulations is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and prepare statements under UK GAAP/US GAAP.
• Review journal entries with bookkeeping to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger, reconciliations, and asset accounting.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and modelling for growth.
• Collaborate with auditors and regulatory reporting teams.
• Enhance internal controls and implement scalable processes.
