Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Lexington is seeking an Accounting and Financial Controller to oversee the month-end close, budgeting and audit support. The role requires presenting financial information to groups and occasional travel within the Diocese.

Strong accounting background with ability to prepare journal entries and financial statements.
Experience explaining budget to actual variances and reconciling intercompany transactions.
Proven ability to assist with budgeting, audits and special projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and financial statements as part of monthly close.
Analyze and explain budget to actual variances to Finance Officer.
Reconcile intercompany and other transactional activity.
Assist with budgeting, the financial audit and other special projects as needed.
Travel occasionally within the Diocese and present to groups.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
