Job description

Daisy is the leading national home and small business technology installation and services company, powered by a comprehensive support platform that helps integrators grow faster and operate more efficiently. As a start-up, with a multi-unit branch model spanning multiple states, centralized corporate resources, and a technology-forward operating philosophy, Daisy is building the future of managed technology services.

The Role

We’re hiring a Controller to own our monthly financial close process, produce GAAP‑compliant financial statements, and serve as the financial backbone of a fast‑growing, multi‑unit operation. You’ll work directly with the CFO and branch general managers, consolidating data from QuickBooks and NetSuite into actionable reporting. This is a hands‑on role that blends traditional controllership with startup agility.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close across all branches
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage and reconcile multi‑entity books across QuickBooks and NetSuite
  • Build and maintain branch‑level P&L packages for general managers
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at both corporate and branch levels
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination
  • Develop and document internal controls and accounting policies as the company scales
  • Provide financial support and training to branch teams on proper accounting practices
  • Partner with external auditors and tax preparers during annual reviews
  • Drive process improvements and help evaluate/implement financial systems upgrades
What We Offer
  • Stock Options: Real equity in a rapidly scaling national platform
  • Company‑Paid Healthcare: 100% employee coverage
  • Performance Bonus: 5–10% annual cash bonus tied to company and individual goals
  • Path to Leadership: As Daisy grows, this role grows into VP of Finance / Corporate Controller
  • Startup Culture: High‑impact work, direct CEO/CFO access, move fast and build something
  • Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the U.S. with periodic travel to branches
  • Construction/Service Industry Exposure: Unique opportunity to build financial operations for a multi‑unit field services business
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a controller or senior accountant role
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite (both preferred)
  • Multi‑entity or multi‑unit experience (franchise, construction, or field services a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and reporting tools
  • CPA preferred but not required
Nice to Have
  • Construction, trades, or project‑based business background
  • Experience with job costing and project‑level financial tracking
  • Familiarity with AI‑powered accounting tools and automation
  • Experience building out financial processes at an early‑stage or high‑growth company
  • Franchise or multi‑location services experience
