• Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA) with post-qualification experience
• Experience in Financial Services/Fintech or Payments is preferred
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, statutory reporting, and control frameworks
• Proven experience in financial reporting, financial controls or audit
• High technical proficiency across Excel, Google Sheets, Process Automation and ERP systems
• Experience in high growth international environments, fintech or financial services

Job description

Due to the exceptional success and continuous growth we are partnering with a UK based Fintech firm to look after their American entities.

The Responsibilities:

• Coordinate statutory audits across multiple entities
• Design & Implement robust controls
• Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and, where applicable, US GAAP
• Build scalable reporting infrastructure via automation
• Contribute to regulatory capital reporting, including preparation of capital and related regulatory returns
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes, and help implement them so the function can support a larger, more complex business without a linear increase in manual work.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate historical information, and help build the models and processes used as the business plans for growth.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, and operations so management, statutory, and regulatory reporting stays accurate and consistent as the business is built out.

The Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience
• Previous experience in Financial Services, ideally in a Fintech or Payments firm
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, statutory reporting, and control frameworks.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, financial controls or audit
• Exceptional across technical accounting
• High technical proficiency across Excel, Google Sheets, Process Automation and ERP systems
• Understanding of high growth global operating environments ideally within the Fintech, Tech or Financial Services field
