Job summary

Brewer Morris is partnering with a global capital markets technology company to recruit a Financial Controller for the New York region. This senior, hands-on role owns regional accounting, reporting, and the monthly close in a multi-country context.

You will lead audits, maintain ERP and controls, manage liquidity and banking relationships, and collaborate with FP&A, Sales Administration, and local management on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant controllership experience in a multinational setting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in SaaS, software or fintech including revenue recognition on complex contracts.
• CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Public accounting experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional accounting, financial reporting and the monthly close.
• Coordinate statutory audits, maintain the ERP and financial systems, and strengthen accounting processes and controls.
• Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity and banking relationships across the region.
• Coordinate regional tax matters with the Group Tax Department and support internal compliance and governance.
• Partner with Sales Administration and commercial teams on invoicing and the financial side of complex client contracts.
• Work with FP&A on budgets, forecasts and the quality of management reporting.
• Advise Managing Directors and local management on financial matters and contribute to strategic projects such as office openings and lease negotiations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the regional team, and drive standard practices across countries.

What you'll own

• Lead regional accounting, financial reporting and the monthly close, in line with local regulations, accounting standards and Group reporting timelines.
• Coordinate statutory audits, maintain the ERP and financial systems, and strengthen accounting processes and controls.
