Job summary

Justworks, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Financial Benefits Project Manager to drive projects around 401(k) MEP and Benefits Billing, including medical/dental/vision and other employee benefits.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to optimize processes, ensure compliance, and deliver value to customers. The role requires strong program management skills, PMP/RPF credentials, and a keen eye for process improvement, risk management, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work experience in operations or project management
• PMP certification preferred
• RPF certification or equivalency required
• Experience with AI programs and automation applications
• Experience working with PEOs preferred
• Knowledge of benefits billing preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skilled in presenting and hosting meetings, trainings, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Technologically savvy; experience with utilizing multiple systems and software programs
• Familiarity with business process management activities (process mapping, improvement, implementation, etc.)
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to take initiative and work effectively on one’s own

Responsibilities

• Lead projects related to the 401(k) MEP and Benefits Billing
• Oversee onboarding and management of Medical, Dental and Vision, commuter and other benefits billing projects
• Engage with external auditors, fiduciaries and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with regulations for 401(k) and MEPs
• Shape and optimize processes and documentation across Benefits
• Manage customer risk, contributions, compliance and payroll information workflows
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to streamline operations
• Support annual audits and nondiscrimination testing
• Communicate updates across departments and with external partners
• Identify and report operational errors using risk data
