Job summary

McClintock & Associates is seeking a Financial Statement Audit Intern for Spring 2026, in-office at Bridgeville, PA. You will assist with audits of higher-education institutions, prepare workpapers, and participate in client calls as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in accounting or a related field.
• Available to work approximately 25 hours per week, January through April.
• Coursework in auditing or financial accounting (preferred).
• Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting or audit (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial statement audits of higher-ed institutions by testing audit areas such as cash, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
• Test accounts payable and accrued liabilities, leases and debt, and operating expenses
• Prepare audit workpapers, analyze supporting documentation, perform reconciliations, and document audit findings
• Participate in client meetings and calls, and communicate with client personnel to obtain support and ask questions
• Gain exposure to real audit planning and problem-solving discussions
• Develop a working knowledge of AI applications and their practical use in audit services
