Company Description

The Community Health Worker Coalition for Migrants and Refugees (CHWCMR) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington State, dedicated to serving communities statewide. CHWCMR focuses on empowering Community Health Workers (CHWs) by building their skills and capacity to better address the needs of underserved populations, with a particular emphasis on migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees. The organization is committed to fostering equitable access to resources and support for these communities through training, advocacy, and collaboration.

Role Description

The Community Health Worker Coalition for Migrants and Refugees (CHWCMR) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance & Development Coordinator to support day-to-day financial processes, donor data management, and internal systems. This is a part-time, entry- to mid-level role focused on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring donor and program data are accurate, well-organized and up to date. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable with data and financial systems, and interested in supporting mission-driven nonprofit work, with the ability to work independently in a flexible, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable, including processing payments to vendors, Community Health Workers (CHWs), and participant stipends
  • Manage accounts receivable, including creating and tracking invoices and incoming payments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Prepare draft reports from financial data
  • Assist staff and project coordinators with project-specific budget management
Development and Donor Data
  • Maintain and update donor records in the organization’s CRM
  • Track gifts and ensure accurate entry of contributions
  • Ensure accurate donor receipts and financial recordkeeping
  • Support donor acknowledgments and basic donor communications
  • Help ensure consistency between donor records and financial tracking
Data Systems and Program Support
  • Support staff in accurately tracking grant deadlines and deliverables using internal project management systems
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance across financial and operational systemsHelp ensure data is accurate, complete, consistent, and up to date
  • Support organization of grant and financial records and prepare reports as requested
  • Assist with improving systems and workflows for recording and tracking financial and project-specific data
  • Train and assist staff and project coordinators with efficient use of data systems
General Administrative Support
  • Provide occasional support with organizing financial and program-related documents
  • Assist with internal coordination and data organization across teams
  • Contribute to improving and maintaining clear, efficient internal systems and processes
Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Comfort working with databases or CRM systems (or willingness to learn)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or administrative finance tasks
  • Experience working with Quickbooks Online and Bill.com
  • Experience working with CRM systems or donor databases
  • Familiarity with Airtable or similar data tools
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or community-based organization
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

Employment Details
