Job summary

Greater Somerset County YMCA in New Jersey is seeking a Financial Assistance Coordinator to advance access to memberships, programs, and services by administering the financial assistance program with care and confidentiality.

You will review applications, communicate decisions, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with membership, program, and finance teams; exceptions go to the CFO for review.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a financial aid office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process financial aid applications.
• Provide/maintain a status report on all open applications for operations team.
• Maintain financial aid records and documentation.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with policies.
• Prepare and submit reports related to financial aid activities and expenditures.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of financial aid processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
