Job summary

New York City Public Schools is seeking a Financial Application Support Associate to assist in vendor onboarding, SOPM rule communication, and navigation of multiple financial systems for DOE staff and vendors.

The role supports audits, user training, and UAT for enhancements, coordinating portal access and ensuring a seamless user experience across ShopNYCPS, FAMIS, Galaxy, and related tools.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with 3 years of related community work.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with public school financial systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing partnerships with corporations, small businesses and individuals to become NYCPS vendors.
• Participate in trainings to improve communication and outreach; maintain partnerships.
• Communicate SOPM rules to users of financial applications (ShopNYCPS, FAMIS, Galaxy, NYCPS travel systems).
• Coordinate vendor portal access and direct users to the Financial Service Center self-service portal.
• Assist in developing press releases and informational materials for compliance and communication.
• Research payment status for users across financial services apps.
• Assist in audits.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) before enhancements.
