Responsibilities

• Analyze work order history, maintenance costs, budget data, and operational metrics for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Review and reconcile MDP data and investigate variances within SAG 131 and 132.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between system submissions and source transactions; document findings.
• Assist with annual facility reporting and GFEBS reporting activities.
• Analyze changes in Facility Sustainment Model quantities, facility records, and funding factors to explain variances.
• Develop and maintain calculations, audit trails, and exception logs for government reporting.
• Validate source data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reports.
• Support data analysis for budgeting, facility planning, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to meet reporting requirements and deadlines.

D2 Government Solutions is seeking a Financial and Sustainment Analyst to support the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) at Fort Benning. This position plays a key role in analyzing financial data, supporting facility sustainment planning, reconciling budget information, and ensuring the accuracy of reports used to support installation operations and strategic funding decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with financial, budgetary, or facilities-related data in a government or large organizational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze work order history, maintenance costs, budget data, and operational metrics to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
• Review and reconcile Management Decision Package (MDP) data and investigate variances within Sub-Activity Groups (SAG) 131 and 132.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between business system submissions and source transactions, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions.
• Assist with annual facility reporting requirements, including preparation and validation of data for General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) reporting activities.
• Analyze changes in Facility Sustainment Model quantities, facility records, and funding factors to identify and explain significant variances.
• Develop and maintain detailed calculations, supporting documentation, audit trails, and exception logs for government reporting.
• Validate source data and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial and sustainment reports.
• Support data analysis efforts that assist leadership in budgeting, facility planning, and resource allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements and deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in financial analysis, budget management, data reconciliation, financial reporting, or facility sustainment programs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, explain variances, and produce accurate, data-driven reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, databases, and financial reporting tools.
• Experience working with GFEBS, Headquarters Installation Information System (HIIS), Defense Army Information System (DAIS), or similar enterprise financial and facilities management systems is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to successfully complete required security processing and obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC), network access, and applicable system permissions, subject to government approval.

Work Location and Schedule

This position is primarily performed onsite at Fort Benning, Georgia, during standard operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and government-directed closures.
