Job description

Job Description:

This position involves budgeting, strategic planning, variance analysis, patient accounts, and operations data analysis, along with ad-hoc analysis processes to support sound financial operations. The role includes producing financial forecasts, reports, dashboards, and tools for leadership and stakeholders across the organization, supporting business and clinical initiatives.

This is a 100% remote position. Currently, we are unable to consider candidates from California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and Washington.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support and analysis for budgeting, strategic planning, variance reporting, and ad-hoc analysis for a facility, region, division, or system-wide team.
  2. Completing defined tasks related to operating and capital budgets, strategic planning, patient accounts, and operations, with supervision for non-routine tasks.
  3. Preparing routine to minimally complex financial analyses, variance reports, and ad hoc reports, working with internal customers to develop and analyze data sources for clinical and operational issues.
  4. Participating in system-wide processes or improvement projects under supervision.

Financial Analyst I Pay Range: $29.66 - $46.72

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution (education verified). Entry-level role with no professional experience required; one year of finance or analytics experience preferred.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email, and scheduling applications preferred.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills preferred.

Financial Analyst II Pay Range: $32.77 - $51.61

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s degree with less than two years of experience preferred.
  • Two years of professional experience in financial analysis preferred.
  • Experience with project management, high accuracy, sound decision-making, and knowledge of healthcare finances preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading and data assessment.
  • Verbal communication for interactions with providers, colleagues, and patients.
  • Manual dexterity for computer use and equipment handling.
  • Driving as required, involving sitting and reading traffic signs and signals.

Location: Key Bank Tower, Salt Lake City, Utah

Work Hours: 40 hours/week

The hourly rate depends on experience, ranging from $32.77 to $51.61.
