Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst II for the Engines group in the Greater Seattle area. The role focuses on building automated financial insights, reconciling data, and delivering repeatable cost analyses to support engineering and manufacturing decisions.

You will work with Excel, SQL, Python, and visualization tools to drive cost transparency, investigate variances, and enable timely leadership decisions. On-site relocation is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a highly analytical field (Business/Finance/Economics/Accounting).
• 2+ years of accounting/financial analytics experience or related field.
• Advanced Excel with Power Query, macros/VBA.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
• Experience using Python for data transformation, automation, or analysis.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to finance and non-finance partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement automation using Excel/SQL and Python where appropriate to reduce cycle time and errors.
• Develop scalable, documented reporting workflows for monthly product cost reporting.
• Maintain repeatable analyses and datasets with clear data lineage.
• Mine and reconcile data across systems and improve data quality with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations partners to influence decisions with data-driven insights.
