Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our finance team. This role emphasizes data analytics, financial modeling, and strategic insight to support decision-making and enhance reporting across the organization.

The position requires 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. You will partner with senior leaders on reports, analyses, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
2-3 years of experience in financial analysis in a data-driven or tech-enabled environment.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, CoPilot, and ERP systems (BST, Deltek, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables on time.
Strong communication skills to translate data into clear insights for leadership.
Experience with financial systems implementation or enhancement is a plus (OneStream, TM1, Hyperion, etc).
Ability to read, write and understand English for written job communications.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain advanced financial models across P&L, working capital, backlog and KPIs.
Data Analytics & Visualization: Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, CoPilot and BST.
Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers of financial performance.
Strategic Support: Prepare executive presentations and shareholder materials explaining the why behind outcomes.
Process Improvement: Improve data governance and reporting accuracy and timeliness.
M&A & Due Diligence: Support acquisition analysis, integration planning and ROI scenarios.

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst II to join our high-performing finance team. This role is designed for a tech-savvy professional who thrives on data analytics, financial modeling, and strategic insight. You will play a critical role in supporting decision-making, enhancing reporting capabilities, and driving financial performance across the organization.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across P&L, working capital, backlog, and other KPIs.

Data Analytics & Visualization: Leverage tools like Power BI, Excel, CoPilot, and our ERP system (BST) to create dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to leadership and operational teams.

Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and synthesize drivers of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

Strategic Support: Partner with the Director of Finance, CFO and senior leaders to prepare executive-level presentations, business reviews, and shareholder materials that explain the "why" behind financial outcomes.

Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance data governance, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

M&A & Due Diligence: Support acquisition analysis, integration planning, and ROI scenario development as part of the company’s growth strategy.
