Job summary

Modine's North American team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support centralized accounting activities, including general ledger, month-end close, invoicing, cost allocations, and internal control compliance. The role requires clear communication with cross-functional partners and a strong attention to detail.

You will post journal entries, manage accruals, prepare reconciliations, and assist with government reporting and audits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals, including recurring, reversing, and intercompany entries.
• Maintain month-end and quarter-end close schedules and checklists.
• Prepare quarter-end supporting schedules and documentation.
• Create and process customer, intercompany, and miscellaneous invoices and credit memos.
• Prepare cost allocations and allocation invoices.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving reconciling items, and support administration of the account reconciliation system.
• Prepare select US government reporting for economic surveys and foreign investments.
• Review and approve routine transactions within delegated authority.
• Ensure compliance with documented accounting controls (Financial Standard Practices).
• Maintain standard work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and tools to improve efficiency, automation, reporting quality and scalability.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and other cross-functional partners, providing accounting analysis and requested information.
• Support internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits by preparing requested information and responding to accounting inquiries.
