Job summary

MODEC America, Inc. is seeking an Accountant II to perform intermediate-level accounting activities, including general ledger reconciliations, month-end closing processes, accruals, and financial statement preparation.

This role supports the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of corporate financial records, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP and IFRS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Prepare accruals for revenue and related costs per GAAP/IFRS.
• Monitor intercompany balances and support audit requests.
• Assist with month-end closing and financial statement preparation.
