About The Role
The role owns financial analysis and reporting that anchor decision-making across the business: budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and the GAAP-compliant reporting packages that reach finance leadership and auditors.
Operating in a SOX-controlled environment, the analyst works daily in the general ledger and planning systems, partners with accounting and FP&A on close cycles, and ensures reporting accuracy at a standard suitable for SEC‑adjacent disclosure requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models in Excel and NetSuite, covering revenue, opex, and headcount forecasts
- Run variance analysis against budget and prior periods, documenting drivers and presenting findings to finance leadership
- Support SOX compliance by executing control walkthroughs, maintaining control documentation, and coordinating remediation of identified gaps
- Prepare GAAP‑compliant reporting packages, including flux analysis, margin reporting, and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with accounting managers during monthly close to reconcile accounts, review journal entries, and resolve discrepancies
- Automate recurring reporting and reconciliation workflows in Excel (Power Query) and the ERP to reduce manual close work
- Assist with audit readiness, compiling PBC deliverables and responding to external auditor requests
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or public accounting with meaningful exposure to US GAAP reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA or CPA candidacy preferred
- Working knowledge of SOX internal controls and audit support processes
- Hands‑on ERP experience (NetSuite, Workday, or SAP) plus advanced Excel modeling skills
- Demonstrated ability to explain variance drivers and financial results clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- Experience in a technology company or other fast‑scaling, audited environment
- Bonus: SQL or scripting experience (Python) for financial data analysis; exposure to SEC reporting or 10‑K/10‑Q preparation
