Full Sail University in Florida is seeking a Financial Aid Trainer to educate new hires and staff on federal and institutional aid policies. You will design and deliver engaging training, create useful resources, and partner with the Audit team and other departments to ensure policy alignment.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in Financial Aid, strong presentation skills, and proficiency in Office tools, CampusVue, and Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of Financial Aid experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and train new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver elaborate and detailed training of all FA new hires and staff.
  • Develop resources and stay updated on Federal and Institutional policies.
  • Coordinate with Audit to ensure policy alignment and answer training inquiries.

They work closely with all teams within the Financial Aid Department as well as with other Departments at Full Sail and with our sister institutions. The ideal trainer is someone who is personable, articulate, outgoing and able to explain financial aid in a way that is clear and understandable to both new hires and tenured staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Elaborate and Detailed Training of all FA New HiresCreative minded with the ability to develop resources that are used by our DepartmentEnsure the Department is aware of both Federal and Institutional policy updates to Financial AidMust have the ability to collaborate and work together with peers and leaders on projectsMust be proficient with Financial Aid policies and proceduresSelf-Motivated with the ability to stay focused on projects and/or tight deadlinesAddress questions that are received to our training team through our email inboxWork hand in hand with our Audit department to ensure alignment on policy and proceduresOther Responsibilities:Assist in the training of new hires for LAFS and RMCADWork with fellow training staff to cover their new hire training as neededProvide technical support for web-based training sessionsCompetencies:TeamworkCommunicationLeadershipCreativityResponsibilityCommitment to Continuous LearningPublic Speaking and PresentingEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of Financial AidExperience or an equivalent combination of Education and Experience RequiredComputer/Equipment Skills:Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote)Adobe Products (Photoshop, Lightroom)CampusVueSalesforceEnvironmental Factors/Physical Demands:Must be able to transfer training materials between offices. Work is performed in an office environment at a computer desk for long periods of time for the majority of the workday. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; and enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone.
