Job summary

Daytona State College is seeking a Financial Aid Data Analyst to gather, analyze, and report on aid data, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and improving decision-making processes. The role includes supporting the SIS, designing reports and dashboards, and maintaining data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in higher education.
• SQL experience and ability to analyze data.
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft, MS Office, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and report on financial aid data to track trends and support decisions.
• Provide technical SIS support, design and test reports, queries and dashboards.
• Assist in operational maintenance and data integrity of systems and databases; develop standardized data import/clean/transform/validate practices.
• Manage data exchanges with vendors; use data and system analysis to identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Generate processes for award letters, ISIR letters, outstanding document letters/emails, and book vouchers.
• Gather requirements and produce specifications for new or modified systems and integrations.
• Proactively establish reports and strategies to enhance student experience.
• Analyze Financial Aid regulations to ensure compliance.
• Create ad hoc reports for the Financial Aid Services Office and others on request.
• Assist the Executive Director with analysis, preparation, and compilation of information for financial aid reports and audits.
• Work overtime during peak periods as needed and be available as deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by the President or designee.
