Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor I to join a team that handles awarding, verification, loan certification, and aid reconciliation while delivering high levels of customer service to students and families.

Under supervision, you will review applications, communicate changes in eligibility, and advise on financing options, eligibility requirements, and repayment strategies, helping students plan their educational finances.

Responsabilités

• Review and analyze financial aid application data to determine accurate and compliant financial aid award packages.
• Modify financial aid packages based on changes in enrollment level, budget adjustments, additional aid, etc.
• Communicate changes in eligibility to students.
• Counsel students regarding financing a Saint Mary's education, including eligibility requirements and student loan debt management.
• Counsel students in person, in writing, and over the phone about the financial aid process, award packages, billing statements, and financial planning.
• Coordinate with offices to resolve student issues and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
• Participate in growth of the financial aid department and manage duties using technological resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Financial Aid Office and University.
