Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 3 years experience in financial aid, higher education student services, accounting, or closely related field.
• Skill and experience in project management and organizational effectiveness with strong attention to detail.
• Experience using advanced features of word processing and spreadsheet/database software.
• Experience using Banner (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Monitor SAP to ensure Title IV eligibility.
• Administer and certify Michigan State programs totaling over $11 million.
• Serve on Scholastic Standards and Appeals Committee with discretion for special circumstances.
• Counsel students and advise on maintaining good standing.
• Monitor policy updates from state and federal agencies and NASFAA.
• Oversee disclosure postings and student billing sections.
• Maintain Student Financial Services Center website.
• Assist with scholarships, financial literacy presentations, and admissions events.
• Perform need analysis using established standards to determine financial need.
• Meet with students and families to provide excellent customer service.
