Job summary

University of Maryland, College Park seeks a Financial Aid Counselor in the Student Support unit to perform counseling and administration of federal student aid programs. You will provide high-quality support to students and families on FAFSA and aid options, analyze need, review cost of attendance, verify information, and assist with aid offers.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with OSFA and campus partners, participate in outreach events, and help ensure compliance with Title IV

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of professional financial aid, finance advising, or finance counseling related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent and high-quality customer service to students and families on FAFSA and financial aid options.
• Assist with FAFSA administration, need analysis, aid offers, and verification.
• Use financial aid systems and data reports for processing.
