Denver Seminary is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to support the Director of Financial Aid and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies. Hybrid work in Littleton, CO with a focus on student outreach, financial literacy, and debt management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong communication skills, confidentiality, and experience with financial aid processes and tools like CampusVue SIS and EDConnect.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; financial aid experience preferred.
  • Strong math, accounting, and bookkeeping understanding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; works with a diverse population.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CampusVue SIS experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with EDConnect, COD, NSLDS and the Federal Direct Loan Program.
  • Self-starter, organized, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Faith-based alignment with Denver Seminary’s values and statement of faith.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students with FAFSA and scholarship applications.
  • Be the main contact via in-person, phone, and email.
  • Maintain the Policies and Procedures Manual for the office.
  • Oversee financial literacy initiatives and debt management programs.
  • Monitor loan repayment, default rate, and liaise with federal loan services.
  • Assist Title IV awarding, ISIR issues, and audits.
  • Enter data into financial aid forms and maintain files.
