Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of financial aid processing and professional customer service experience.
• One year of experience in a proprietary online higher education environment is preferred.
• Must not be in default on any Federal Student Loans.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling to students and families regarding financial aid options, application processes, and eligibility requirements.
• Assist in completing financial aid forms (FAFSA, Master Promissory Note, and institutional documents).
• Advise on budgeting, financial literacy, and loan repayment strategies.
• Evaluate and process financial aid applications per federal/state/institutional policies.
• Determine eligibility and award financial aid packages (grants, scholarships, loans, work-study).
• Monitor documentation for accuracy and compliance; stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to support student success and resolve financial aid issues.
• Conduct workshops and outreach on financial aid opportunities.
