Job Summary

The Financial Administration Coordinator in the Cognitive ScienceProgram supports the program's daily business operations. TheCognitive Science Program includes 11 faculty, 60 graduatestudents, and approximately 50 undergraduate students.

General Responsibilities
  • Under moderate supervision, performs financial andadministrative tasks related to processing financial or otheradministrative records.
  • Processes documents into the university's central informationsystems (Travel, KFS, HRMS, etc.) and verifies that information iscorrect. Investigates and resolves discrepancies in financialdocuments.
  • Maintains records of financial transactions, compiles data, andprepares reports.
  • Verifies accuracy of adjustments to payroll includingsupplements and garnishments. Audits, coordinates, and processespayroll; verifies accuracy of payroll information.
  • Confirms available accounts and ensures timely payments aremade to payees.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding financial and/or personnelpolicies and procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison to department and/or other universitydivisions.
  • May provide guidance to lower-level employees on theirday-to-day work.
Qualifications

EDUCATION
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment.
