Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking an Accounting Supervisor/Senior Financial Accountant to lead a small team in a manufacturing environment. You will supervise two accountants and report to the divisional Controller locally, overseeing financial statements, budgeting, and month-end close activities.

Ideal candidates have prior supervisory experience in accounting and can handle taxes, audits, and capital project accounting. This role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Senior Financial Accountant capable of supervising two accountants.
• Manufacturing background preferred; banking or healthcare acceptable as alternative.

Responsibilities

• Assist in timely and accurate production of financial statements and supervise Accounts Receivable and general financial accounting.
• Budgeting
• Coordinate month-end activities between departments for proper cut-off procedures
• Prepare financial statements
• Perform financial analysis
• Conduct account reconciliations
• Assist in tax-related activities
• Participate in inventory counts

Duties:

• Assists in the timely and accurate production of financial statements and is responsible for the supervision of the Accounts Receivable function and general financial accounting.

Requirements:

• This is a manufacture so ideal candidate would come out of supervision but would consider others such as banking, healthcare etc.
