Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Financial Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll and benefits, and tax compliance. The role requires SAP experience, BPC data input, and strong Excel skills.

You will collaborate across intercompany, tax, and audit processes in a global energy infrastructure environment. With 4+ years in a related field and a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, you will contribute to special projects and ensure accuracy and timeliness in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; master's preferred.
• SAP experience is a must; Blackline and OneSource knowledge a plus.
• CPA certification is a plus; 4+ years of related work experience.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail; able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare payroll, benefits and other entries.
• Provide accounting support and reconciliations for intercompany, payroll/benefits, fixed assets & capex, right-of-use assets, property tax and heavy equipment tax.
• Input financial data in BPC and validate sales tax exemption certificates.
• Review accrued use tax and prepare related upload files.
• Assist with internal and external audits and participate in special projects.

Reporting to Payroll & Benefits Supervisor, the Financial accountant will work on month end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll & benefits, compliance, indirect tax, and other special projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare payroll, benefits and other entries.
• Accounting support & reconciliations for the following:
  • Intercompany.
  • Payroll & benefits.
  • Fixed assets & Capex.
  • Right of use assets.
  • Property tax and Heavy Equipment tax
• Input financial data in BPC.
• Validate sales tax exemption certificates and upload exemption certificates in OneSource.
• Review accrued use tax and prepare use tax correction upload files.
• Assist with internal and external audit.
• Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required and master’s degree is a plus.
• SAP experience is a must, Sales and Use tax and Blackline experience are preferred.
• Accounting certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of recent work experience in a related field.
• Self-motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
