Job summary

State Street Corp. seeks a Managing Director, Head of Finance Transformation to lead strategy, governance and portfolio orchestration for the Finance transformation agenda.

You will translate priorities into an integrated program with clear accountability and measurable outcomes, working with Finance, Treasury, and enterprise teams. The role requires senior leadership in Finance transformation, strong governance, and hands-on experience with data, AI, and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Finance transformation, strategy, portfolio management within a large, complex organization.
• Strong understanding of Finance and Treasury processes, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in process discovery, business analysis and business-case development using data to baseline performance and measure outcomes.
• Proven experience establishing intake, portfolio governance, program management and value-realization disciplines, including budget and partner oversight.
• Experience shaping target operating models, including domain, platform or end-to-end process models.
• Proven change leadership across large, global Finance teams.
• Working knowledge of how data, AI, automation and enterprise platforms enable Finance transformation, with hands-on AI fluency.
• Exceptional storytelling, executive presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Finance transformation strategy and multi-year roadmap with Finance and Treasury leadership.
• Build partnerships with Enterprise Transformation and Data & AI teams so Finance demand uses existing enterprise capabilities.
• Lead end-to-end process discovery and business-case development; sustain a continuous pipeline.
• Own intake, prioritization and portfolio governance; manage investments, benefits, risks and dependencies.
• Set program management standards and cadence; govern transformation budgets with CFO organization.
• Lead evolution toward a domain/platform operating model with data reuse and governance.
• Drive change, measure benefits and provide transparency into portfolio health.
• Use AI to pull facts, accelerate analysis and produce executive-ready materials; tell clear stories.
