Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Systems Ownership
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of financial systems, including ERP, accounting platforms, reporting tools, and POS integrations.
- Define and execute product roadmaps aligned with Finance and broader business objectives.
- Balance operational support, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives to maximize business value.
- Define KPIs and success metrics related to system performance, financial accuracy, and user adoption.
- Analyze financial processes, including GL, AP/AR, billing, reporting, and reconciliations, to identify optimization opportunities.
- Ensure data integrity, auditability, and compliance across financial systems.
Business Analysis & Systems Administration
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to understand workflows, reporting requirements, and system pain points.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, workflows, and system configurations.
- Provide hands‑on administration, configuration, and support for financial and related SaaS systems.
- Support financial reporting, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with IT and external vendors.
- Manage system upgrades, releases, and enhancements.
- Maintain system documentation, data mappings, and process flows.
- Support user access, roles, and security governance.
Product Delivery & Project Management
- Manage product backlogs, prioritization, and delivery using Jira or similar tools.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and post‑release support.
- Manage system dependencies, risks, and change impacts across teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, Operations, and external vendors.
- Partner with vendors on roadmap alignment, system enhancements, and issue resolution.
- Effectively communicate system changes, priorities, and business impacts to stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Product Administrators and junior product team members.
- Support onboarding, skill development, performance feedback, and career progression.
- Set clear expectations, delegate effectively, and foster accountability and collaboration.
Training, Adoption & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and deliver system training and ongoing user support.
- Drive adoption of new features, functionality, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the user experience.
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4-7+ years of experience in financial systems, business applications, financial systems analysis, or product management.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including GL, AP/AR, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Experience with ERP systems or financial platforms such as Sage (preferred), Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar.
- Background in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Systems Analysis.
- Experience with data and reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting audits and compliance processes.
- Demonstrated experience owning systems or products from intake through delivery, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for backlog and delivery management.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑management skills with exceptional attention to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, system integrations, and reporting tools preferred.
