Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a senior Manager of Finance Functional Systems to lead the Workday Financials team and drive a unified strategy for finance systems. You will own intake, governance, and the roadmap, coordinating withFinance Controller’s Office, IT, HR, and Supply Chain to deliver scalable, compliant financial processes.

The role requires deep Workday expertise, strong leadership, and a proven track record in implementing and upgrading complex finance systems while ensuring audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Workday Financials experience with complex configuration and cross-domain processes.
• Experience leading Workday enhancements, design, and automation initiatives across accounting, payroll, procurement, and other finance functions.
• Experience configuring Workday business processes, validations, allocations, security groups, and release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Finance Systems team and steer a unified strategy that supports the Finance Controller’s Office.
• Act as product manager for Workday Financials roadmap; define scope and prioritize initiatives.
• Own intake, triage, and prioritization for Finance system requests and maintain the enhancement backlog.
• Ensure governance frameworks, documentation standards, and change control across configuration decisions.
• Lead Workday semi-annual release planning with impact assessment and testing strategy.
• Collaborate with Finance Controller’s Office, IT, HR, and Supply Chain to enable scalable and compliant financial systems.
• Oversee system controls, posting rules, validations, approvals, and audit-readiness documentation.
