Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Senior Analyst for Finance Functional Systems to serve as a Workday Finance SME. The role drives configuration, testing, and optimization to support scalable financial operations across GL, P2P, O2C, and R2R processes.

You will partner with accounting, payroll, IT, and procurement teams, guiding end-to-end workflows, posting rules, and analytics while maintaining strong documentation and governance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, IS, or related field.
• Five+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration experience.
• Configuring Workday business processes, accounting center, allocation and security groups.
• Developing Workday reports, calculated fields, and analytics datasets.
• Experience leading Workday enhancements, requirements, design, and UAT cycles.
• Experience with GL, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, R2R, grants, assets, and projects.
• Workday release management, regression testing, and impact analysis.
• Collaboration with Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, and IT on cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with multiple finance systems beyond Workday and system upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for core Workday finance domains.
• Provide guidance on end-to-end processes, controls, and ERP capabilities.
• Translate business needs into configuration specs and testable requirements.
• Maintain documentation: specs, notes, test scripts, SOPs, processes.
• Support governance: change control, release readiness, audit documentation.
• Lead configuration of complex processes, rules, and reporting structures.
• Validate posting rules, processes, accounting results, and reporting logic.
• Perform root-cause analysis and durable fixes.
• Support other Finance Controller’s Office systems with Workday.
• Own delivery for enhancements, releases, and change requests.
• Lead full testing cycles and defect resolution.
• Identify inefficiencies across GL, P2P, O2C, R2R, Payroll, Grants, Projects.
• Recommend automation or configurations to improve accuracy and efficiency.
