Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Manager - Finance Functional Systems to lead the Finance Systems team and drive a unified strategy for Finance systems with the Finance Controller's Office. You will manage intake, prioritization, and governance while ensuring scalable, compliant financial processes.

The role focuses on Workday ownership, roadmap execution, and collaboration with IT, HR, Supply Chain, and Procurement to deliver high‑quality financial solutions and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years hands-on Workday Financials experience with complex configuration
• Experience leading Workday enhancements, design, and automation initiatives
• Strong knowledge of Workday data model, security, and reporting
• Experience managing multiple finance systems plus IT collaboration
• Excellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts with workload planning, coaching, and performance development
• Own intake, triage, and prioritization for Finance system requests; govern backlog
• Ensure configuration quality, controls, documentation, and audit-readiness
• Own Workday roadmap scope, sequencing, and business value with IT and Finance partners
• Coordinate with Accounting, AP, Grants, Payroll, Procurement, HR, Treasury, and IT on system changes
• Lead Workday semi-annual release planning, testing, and readiness activities
• Oversee integration and lifecycle management of other Finance systems
