The University of Chicago's Biological Sciences Division (BSD) Accounting team is seeking a senior finance professional to lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for faculty compensation and clinical programs. You will collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial strategy and ensure robust internal controls.

With 5–7 years of related experience and strong modeling skills, you will contribute to pro forma analyses, dashboards, and cross-functional initiatives across the division.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
• MBA or advanced degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops budgets and long-range financial plans for the department.
• Reviews financial data, prepares reports and dashboards, and analyzes variances.
• Manages physician compensation programs and related financial targets.
• Supports monthly close, journal entries, accruals, and narrative budgeting.
• Provides strategic financial guidance to department leadership and stakeholders.
