Job summary

Dexian seeks a finance partner to support technology teams driving data-center initiatives. You’ll build business cases, validate capital expenditures, and lead budgeting and forecasting processes. You’ll explain variances and articulate impacts to management, guiding decisions from idea to approved plans.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills, critical thinking, and outstanding communication and time-management capabilities to deliver under tight deadlines.

• Support finance for technology teams, acting as finance lead for transformations.
• Build business cases and ensure quotes tie out capital expenses, plus budgeting and forecasting.
• Explain variances and impacts to budget/forecast and present recommendations.
• Transform ambiguous needs into actionable financial models with clear management recommendations.

Job description

• Supporting from a financial manager-like type of responsibility for the technology teams they represent. Supporting that specific transformation initiative, but as their primary finance go to person
• Business cases build out, challenges on making sure the quote ties out capital expense, vetting it from an accounting perspective and then running budgeting and forecasting as well.
• This role is data center driven, so any experience there or even a manufacturing background or project management related helps.
• We're building out new data centers so we need somebody that can look at a very complex project or problem, and if we're doing it the wrong way or we they can add something to it. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex projects, identify inefficiencies or risks, and recommend alternative approaches to achieve better outcomes.
• Need good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines while managing tight timelines.
• They will be managing a segment and expected to be the subject matter expert of the segment. Will need to explain examples like why there is a variance, or why we are accounting for something a certain way, what the impact of this project were bringing forward for approval is to the budget and the forecast. Taking it from an idea, build into the budget you build into the forecast, then speak to maybe why it was above or below from a variance standpoint.
• Ability to work with limited direction, transform ambiguous business needs into actionable financial models and business cases, and present recommendations effectively to management.
