Job summary

Dexian seeks a Systems Analyst to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions for financial services applications. You will partner with product owners, engineers, and QA to analyze requirements, define backlogs, and guide design discussions.

You will mentor other analysts, contribute to SDLC best practices, and help ensure quality across testing phases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial services applications.
• Experience communicating technical needs to non-technical teams and partners.
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions with a long-term mentality.
• Mentoring support to other Systems Analysts and guidance on standard methodologies.
• Strong Agile software development experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for interviewing business partners.
• Strong analytical skills to review systems and propose designs.
• Ability to diagram business processes and system workflows.
• Ability to define project scope and backlog and propose solutions.
• Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting QA and business partners through testing phases.

Title: Systems Analyst

Required Skills:

• Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions
• Experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners
• Ability to utilize a long‑term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions
• Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to the other Systems Analysts
• 8+ years of experience, with a focus in financial services applications
• Experience collaborating in a team environment to develop, deploy, and support key applications and features
• A proven understanding of the Agile software development methodology
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, allowing you to interview Business partners to understand project objectives, use cases and requirements
• Strong analytical skills, enabling you to research, document and review existing systems and recommend designs for achieving requirements for self‑contained projects within a larger program
• Proficiency in assisting in the writing of user requirements and all the supporting documentation
• Ability to diagram business processes and system workflows
• Expertise in conveying technical concepts with internal customers, technical team members, and/or other technical contributors across the organization
• Willingness to actively participate in defining project scope/backlog, while recommending solutions to project issues
• Desire to understand web and mobile applications, while having the confidence to clearly communicate technical concepts to the internal partners inside and outside of the Scrum team
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt and thrive to meet the needs of a fast‑paced and evolving environment
• Ability to provide strong support to Quality Assurance and Business partners throughout all testing phases, including participating in triaging system defects in production and non‑production environments
• Extensive knowledge of internet, mobile, and application architecture, as well as current and emerging technologies
• Full grasp of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
• Use of formal methods (traditional structured or Agile/iterative) for delivering new or improved applications, identifying and communicating systems development processes and generating requirement documentation associated with the respective phases of the lifecycle
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
• Strong analytical skills and ability to tackle issues and work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience and judgment
• Communicate effectively in various settings; one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, and senior management
• Skilled at influencing team members and external groups
• Proactively navigates the organization in order to accomplish tasks
• Willingness to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Desire to be organized, highly responsive and committed to quality

Additional skill will be a plus:

• Ability to perform technical analysis of sophisticated Web application development concepts (Spring MVC, Spring Core, XML, CSS, etc.)
• Experience with database query tools / Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Java and Confluence
• Working understanding of QA automation
