Guardian Life invites a 2027 Summer Intern to join Corporate Finance & Risk – Internal Audit in New York. This paid 10-week program offers hands-on auditing exposure, mentorship, and interaction with senior leaders while working on real-world finance and risk challenges.

You will gain experience through boarder department initiatives, testing of controls, and learning Guardian’s purpose, values, and offerings, building a strong professional network.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with coursework in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
• Interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk and willingness to learn about different functions.
• Intellectual curiosity to learn and the ability to analyze information and draw meaningful insights.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ask insightful questions and connect risk, controls and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Support audit project work and collaborate with experienced professionals.
• Assist in process improvement and transformation initiatives across the department.
• Assist in performing testing to support external audit controls over financial statements or model audit rules.
