Job summary

MSIG USA is hiring an Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting to support accounting, insurance operations, and financial reporting within its Finance organization. The role requires 5–7 years of P&C insurance accounting experience, with solid knowledge of U.S. NAIC statutory accounting principles and U.S.

GAAP. The position engages with Finance, Investments, Actuarial, and other teams to ensure accurate close, intercompany eliminations, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Five to seven years of accounting experience in the insurance industry, preferably P&C.
• Experience applying U.S. NAIC statutory accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Insurance accounting experience including reconciliations, close activities, and financial or regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities (journal entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, financial statement support).
• Prepare and review quarterly consolidation-related journal entries (goodwill, intangibles, deferred salary allocations).
• Partner with Finance, Premium Accounting, Reinsurance, Actuarial, and external stakeholders for accurate financial reporting.
