Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking a Senior Associate to support investment accounting, insurance operations, and financial reporting within its Finance organization. The candidate will bring 3–5 years of P&C accounting experience, working knowledge of U.S. NAIC statutory principles and U.S.

GAAP, and be able to collaborate across Finance, Investments, Actuarial, and Operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting

Qualifications

• Three to five years of accounting experience within the insurance industry, preferably P&C.
• Experience applying U.S. NAIC statutory accounting principles (yellowbooks) and U.S. GAAP.
• Understanding of insurance operations and transaction flow to GL and financial statements.
• Experience with investment accounting, reconciliations, close activities, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual investment accounting activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review investment-related schedules and disclosures for NAIC statutory and IFRS reporting.
• Support accounting for premiums, claims, reserves, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with statutory financial statements, regulatory schedules, and management reporting.
• Analyze general ledger balances and resolve differences across source systems.
• Collaborate with Investment, Treasury, Actuarial, Tax, and Operations teams for accurate accounting.
• Assist with audits and regulatoryExaminations and maintain internal controls.
