Job summary

NYU Langone Health is a fully integrated health system; we seek an experienced Manager, Finance & Operations for Nursing & PCS to lead budget management and staff activities. You will report to the Senior Director of Operations and drive efficiency, staffing models, and capital planning across Nursing and Patient Care Services.

The role requires 3 years supervisory experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Project, Tableau, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of experience in healthcare clinical operations, business administration or finance.
• Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Professional, Tableau; familiarity with other databases and analytic tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff with responsibility for all personnel-related activities, with the authority to hire, evaluate, discipline, and terminate.
• Prepare and assemble analyses of budget and financial reports.
• Assists in developing and incorporating new tools and streamlined processes to increase productivity.
• Coordinates the preparation of labor productivity reports to monitor and analyze variances for the department's position control.
• Facilities data requests, analyzes data, and develops reports that monitor and track labor and capital spends against target.
• Monitor and maintain staffing requirements, variances, and projections for the Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
• Support budgeting, staffing, and finance operations for the Departments of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
• Implement process redesigns to improve staffing efficiency.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on financial operations for Nursing Leadership.
