Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York City seeks a Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership and manage a designated care area on a 24-hour basis, aligning with the mission of NYU Langone Health to enhance health through education, research, and patient care. The role emphasizes fostering staff growth, delivering high-quality nursing care, and improving patient experience.

You will work with clinical leaders on budgeting, policy, and program development while promoting diversity,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and active NYS Registered Professional Nurse License.
3 years of nursing leadership experience.
BLS certification - American Heart Association.
Certification in area of specialty and/or Nursing Administration within 2 years if hired/promotion after 10/1/25.

Responsibilities

Lead and evaluate departmental nursing staff and leadership from orientation to termination.
Oversee a designated care area on a 24-hour basis in alignment with NYU Langone Health goals.
Collaborate with inter-professional teams to improve quality, patient experience and efficiency.
Develop strategic staffing, budgets and workforce planning in partnership with clinical leaders.
