Job summary

Cathedral High School in Houston, TX is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Business Manager to oversee the school\'s business, financial, and operational affairs. You will work closely with the Head of School and administrative team to develop budgets, internal controls, and timely financial reporting.

Required experience in accounting or finance with an undergraduate degree, strong Office 365 skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Business degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Accounting, business, or finance experience required.
• Administrative or executive experience preferred.
• Ability to manage and complete a variety of tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, email and calendars.
• Demonstrated professionalism, problem-solving ability and organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the business, financial, and operational affairs of Cathedral High School.
• Develop, implement, and monitor annual budget, financial projection, and operations plan.
• Work with Head of School to develop and monitor internal controls.
• Develop financial and business reports as requested.
• Handle bookkeeping: recording, deposits, and paying invoices and funds.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monitor ledger.
• Communicate with bank personnel as needed.
• Review operating account weekly.
• Prepare for annual audit process and review.
• Manage payroll, taxes, insurance, compensation, and HR expenses.
• File returns and maintain records of business and payroll forms.
• Process correspondence related to business and financial affairs.
• Manage vendor relationships and school supply needs.
• Coordinate operational and plant management with facilities staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
