Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager (Finance) to lead lean transformation, process improvement and capital projects across the Mountain West region, involving 75–90% travel between AZ, UT, and ID. The role collaborates with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Environmental Health & Safety to drive profitability, throughput and quality.

Based at or near one of our plants such as Chandler, AZ or Ogden, UT, the position requires strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in a related sector.
• Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Experience with quality control and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for significant regional improvements with operations and sales teams.
• Provide oversight and guidance to plant teams executing lean initiatives.
• Drive process changes through hands-on coordination with plant teams.
• Optimize plant layout and flow to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Lead capital project workshops and ROI analyses for plant improvements.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specifications.
