Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking an intern to support the Member Financial Operations (MFO) division. You will assist with daily transaction support, data analysis, and process improvements in a regulated environment.

This internship offers exposure to AML, OFAC, fraud prevention, audit requests, and cross-team collaboration. Candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance with strong Excel/Word skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance.
• Proficient in Word and Excel with strong attention to detail.
• SQL experience is a plus and data analysis is encouraged.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compliance background in AML, fraud and related regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the MFO teams to support daily operations, quality control initiatives and projects.
• Respond to member correspondence requests for information.
• Monitor and report on AML, OFAC, fraud or other risk issues for escalation.
• Assist with pulling data for Internal and External Audit requests.
• Contribute to projects to improve processes, reduce risk and promote efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
