Job summary

Homeless Solutions, Inc. seeks a Finance Manager to lead daily financial operations for a NJ housing and human services organization. You will oversee accounting for shelters, housing, and real estate portfolios, ensure compliance, and drive accurate reporting to leadership and the Board.

Key duties include closings, financial reporting, grant budgeting, and supervising a small team including Medicaid billing staff. Salary range from $95k to 105K.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Minimum 4 years accounting experience, at least 2 years nonprofit fund accounting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, Uniform Guidance, HUD reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accrual accounting and payroll taxes; staff supervision skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations and ensure compliance across the NJ organization.
• Lead monthly and year-end closings, financial reporting, grants budgeting and costing.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll allocations, and cash-flow monitoring.
• Supervise accounting staff and support audits and senior leadership reporting.
