The Finance Manager oversees the organization's daily financial operations and ensures compliance across a multifaceted New Jersey housing and human services organization. This role leads accounting functions for emergency shelter, transitional housing, Housing Supports, and a real estate portfolio consisting of 17 affordable housing properties. Key responsibilities include monthly and year-end closings, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll allocations, revenue reconciliations, cash-flow monitoring, grant and program budgeting, fund accounting, cost allocations, contract billing, and reimbursement requests.
The Finance Manager oversees individual project accounting and parent-level consolidations, partners with program leadership to monitor financial performance, and maintains strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. This position also supervises a small accounting team, including a Staff Accountant responsible for Medicaid billing for Housing Supports. The successful candidate will combine hands‑on technical expertise with effective team leadership to support clean audits, regulatory compliance, and accurate, timely reporting to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.
This position is offered in a salary range from $95k to 105K
