Job summary

IMEC Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center is seeking a Finance Manager to lead budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and compliance across the organization. The role partners with leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and responsible stewardship of resources.

The position supports grant compliance, audits, and continuous improvement in financial processes, with mentorship and cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• CPA/CMA/CFA or similar certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, nonprofit/grant-funded experience preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audit support, and financial systems management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain organizational budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Analyze financial performance, trends, and key metrics for leadership insights.
• Support strategic planning and decision-making with financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist with cash flow planning, expense management, and forecasting activities.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and documentation for auditors and stakeholders.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Support grant tracking, project funding, and cross-departmental financial literacy.
