Job summary

CMHA-CEI is seeking a Finance Grants Accountant to lead day-to-day financial management of its grant portfolio in Michigan. Under the CFO, you will develop grant budgets, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with funder requirements and 2 CFR 200 for federal awards.

You will collaborate with the CFO and Finance Manager to refine policies and systems for grant reporting while maintaining the integrity of all financial transactions and reporting related to grants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or extensive related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of principles of accounting and financial statements required.
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial management and oversight of CMHA-CEI's grant portfolio.
• Develop and revise grant budgets and prepare financial reports.
• Analyze allocable expenses and formulate projections; ensure funder compliance (2 CFR 200).
• Collaborate with CFO and Finance Manager on policies and systems for grant activity.
• Maintain integrity of financial transactions and reporting for grant awards.
