Job summary

Zytek Medsearch seeks a Finance Manager to lead financial operations for a Central Illinois manufacturing site. You will drive planning, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability, partnering with Operations and Supply Chain on productivity and cost initiatives.

You will oversee cost accounting, inventory, and CAPEX analyses, while developing models and risk mitigations. The role emphasizes leadership of a finance team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive finance/cost accounting experience in a similar role.
• 2+ years of direct people leadership/management.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or similar operational experience required.
• Large plant with >400 employees experience highly desirable
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP, Oracle, AS400, MAPICS, Vista, ENCORE, and Power BI preferred.
• Strong cost accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial leaders.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead site financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and profit planning.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, including sales, production mix, variances, COGS, fixed/variable costs, and KPIs.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on productivity, cost reduction, quality, inventory, working capital, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead financial analysis for CAPEX, new projects, and operational investments.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, physical inventory, cycle counts, and cost absorption.
• Support SIOP, MRP, production planning, and facility/product improvement initiatives.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure accurate financial and operational data within ERP systems.
• Partner with corporate Finance, Controllership, Shared Services, Payroll, and FP&A teams.
• Lead, develop, and mentor finance team members.
