Job summary

Phyton Talent Advisors is seeking a Finance Manager for a well known University in New York, NY. You will oversee financial transactions, budgets, and reporting for University Life departments, including student groups, grants, and endowments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Senior Finance Administrator, managing inquiries via ServiceNow, and presenting financial analyses to leadership. Strong Excel, communication, and nonprofit/education experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance or a related field.
• 2-4 years of related experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis.
• Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft or comparable financial systems.
• Experience in higher education or non-profit environments.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions for University Life departments, including invoices, vouchers, and P-card approvals.
• Assist with processing transactions under the SFA portfolio and support student groups and grants.
• Prepare and present reports tracking revenue and expenditures; analyze budget vs. actuals.
• Perform trend analysis and forecasting to aid strategic decisions.
• Develop and deliver finance training to new hires and staff.
