Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance team, build models, budgets, and analytics across the firm, offices, and departments. You will translate strategy into execution, delivering timely, high-quality financial information to senior leadership.

The role includes managing day-to-day team activities, coaching staff, and developing KPI dashboards while collaborating with Accounting and IT to ensure data accuracy and reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years in finance, FP&A, or related analytical roles, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Minimum four years of experience leading or supervising analysts or similar staff.
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, internal reporting and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP/GL and time & billing systems; advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of the firm’s financial strategy with financial models and trend analysis.
• Translate strategic priorities into operational plans, reporting packages, and analytics.
• Prepare materials and analyses for senior leadership discussions, including dashboards and executive summaries.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the finance team and ensure work is properly prioritized and delivered on time.
• Provide coaching and professional development for team members.
• Oversee internal reporting for firmwide performance, practice groups, and offices with data integrity in collaboration with Accounting and IT.
• Develop and maintain tools and dashboards to improve visibility into key metrics for leadership.
• Lead aspects of the annual budgeting cycle, reforecasts, and multi-period outlooks.
